Lectors

Ministers of the Word, or Lectors, are tasked with proclaiming the Word of God during the mass. God speaks to his people through Holy Scripture and it is the lectors job to bring His word to His people.

Main Responsibilities and Duties:

  Proclaim the first and second readings during Sunday Masses and other liturgical celebrations

Time Commitment: Each week a sign up sheet is sent out to all liturgical ministers to sign up for the upcoming weekend. You are able to sign up as often as you would like. You can sign up for once a year or every week and everything in between.



Requirements

  A brief training is given on a one-on-one basis

  Lector workbooks are provided to ensure proper preparation for effective proclamation of the readings
