Greeters

"Let all guests who arrive be received as Christ, because He will say:
'I was a stranger and you took Me in' (Mt 25:35). And let due honor be shown to all,
especially to those 'of the household of the faith' (Gal 6:10) and to wayfarers."
- The Rule of St. Benedict, Chapter 53

The greeters at Mass serve a special role of welcoming the parishioners each week. We are truly the body of Christ and each member of that body should be welcomed to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass well.

Main Responsibilities and Duties:

Welcome all who come through the doors of the church to worship

Assist the Ushers if extra help is needed

Time Commitment: Each week a sign up sheet is sent out to all liturgical ministers to sign up for the upcoming weekend. You are able to sign up as often as you would like. You can sign up for once a year or every week and everything in between. When signed up to serve you should arrive at least 15 minutes before Mass to greet all those coming to Mass.

Requirements

All ages are welcome to participate

There is a brief training given on a one-on-one basis
